General rules

The first priority is to follow the shooting range’s rules, the initial briefing and the instructions given by staff. Rules can differ between facilities and activities, so visitors should ask before acting when something is unclear. Stopping immediately when instructed is part of responsible conduct.

Personal protection

Hearing and eye protection are part of normal preparation for range activities. Equipment should be selected and worn according to the facility’s requirements and staff guidance. If the operator provides protective equipment, confirm the conditions of use before the session begins.

The instructor’s role

Online material can explain principles, but it cannot observe a person’s position, surroundings or behavior. The instructor and responsible range staff adapt the briefing to the activity and intervene if an unsafe situation develops. Their directions take priority over any summary read beforehand.

Responsible preparation

Before visiting, confirm the minimum age, required documents, clothing, protective equipment and rules for accompanying persons. Do not consume alcohol or substances that impair attention, and tell staff if you have not understood a rule. Safety starts with recognizing limits and asking questions early.

After the activity

Follow staff instructions for ending the session, returning equipment and leaving the shooting area. If you noticed a safety issue, report it to staff. A responsible experience also means identifying any rule that was unclear and resolving it before a future visit.
