01 Entry in the directory
The editor of armedefoc.ro has directly confirmed the existence of the 44 retained locations. An entry must identify a real shooting range or shooting facility and the locality in which it operates. Two records explicitly carrying test names were removed during the data migration; automatically generated county pages are not part of this directory.
02 What this confirmation means
The label Existence confirmed means only that the location exists as a shooting range or shooting facility. It does not confirm legal authorization, licensing, opening hours, public access or available services. Those are separate facts and require separate support; a missing source is never filled in by assumption.
03 Source hierarchy
For an address, we prefer information confirmed directly by the operator, a competent institution or another source that can identify the location precisely. Research references can assist verification without becoming a public recommendation. We keep the basis for the address, coordinates and any legal-status claim separate rather than combining them into one generic “verified” field.
04 Coordinates and map markers
A marker is shown only when the coordinates can be tied to a precise, verified street address or an exact map point for the facility. We do not use the centre of a town, commune or county as a substitute. An entry without exact coordinates remains visible in the directory without an approximate point on the map.
05 Review and corrections
The review register tracks which locations have confirmed addresses and coordinates and which still require work. To submit a correction, send the location name, county and supporting information to [email protected]. Before travelling, always confirm opening hours, required documents and access conditions directly with the operator.
06 Maintaining the directory
An address, service or opening schedule can change. During review, we check that the location still refers to the same facility and that the basis for its address and coordinates remains exact. If a previously stated detail can no longer be supported, it returns to unknown status until it is confirmed again.
